At Disney's D23 fan convention, Marvel unveiled significant updates for its upcoming projects. The cast for the new X-Men movie was announced, featuring Sadie Sink as Jean Grey, Kit Connor as Cyclops/Scott Summers, Samara Weaving as Emma Frost, Christopher Abbott as Professor Charles Xavier, Inde Navarrette as Rogue, and Maya Boyd as Ororo Munroe/Storm. Adam Driver was revealed to play Nathaniel Milbury, a character linked to the X-Men villain Mr. Sinister. The X-Men film is scheduled for release on May 5, 2028.
During the event, Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, and Hayley Atwell introduced the trailer for Avengers: Doomsday, which will feature not only the Avengers but also the Fantastic Four and the original X-Men. The trailer showcased a confrontation between Victor Von Doom and Thor, as well as Doctor Doom deploying Sentinel robots against the X-Men. Avengers: Doomsday is set for release on Dec. 18.
Marvel also presented the VisionQuest trailer, starring Paul Bettany as Vision and James Spader as Ultron. The series will explore Vision's identity and humanity, and it premieres on Disney Plus on Oct. 14.
