Uber and Zipline Partner for Drone Deliveries of Uber Eats

Uber, a global ride-hailing and food delivery service, has announced a partnership with drone company Zipline to launch airborne takeout deliveries later this year. The goal is to reach one million daily drone deliveries by 2029. Uber has made a strategic investment in Zipline, a California-based firm that has been conducting drone deliveries in Texas since 2025. This move comes as other delivery companies are increasing their own drone delivery efforts due to relaxed government regulations allowing for longer and cheaper flights. The initial deliveries will take place in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, with plans to expand to multiple cities in the future.
